It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Moreno (Las Animas, Colorado), who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horacio Moreno and Lucy Moreno (Baca); his brother Leo Moreno; and his nephew Isaac Moreno, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Moreno of La Junta, CO, Michael Moreno (Jason) of Sheridan, CO and Cody Moreno of La Junta, CO; his grandchildren, Silas Moreno, Brileigh Moreno and Marlon Moreno; his former wife Christine Moreno of La Junta, CO; and his siblings, Horace Moreno (Susan), George Moreno, Albert Moreno, Jim Moreno and Sue (Douglas). He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Parish (518 W 3rd St, La Junta, CO 81050). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery (15700 Co Rd HH, Las Animas, CO 81054).
