He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Kane (Rumbaugh) and John Kane; and his siblings, Jack, Paul and Patricia Kane.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Kane, Joe Kane (Missy), Tom Kane, Jack Kane, Steve Kane (Sue), Kathy Kane, Paul Kane (Bernadette), Kaitlin and James Patrick (JP); and his wife Rita. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
He kept playing golf almost weekly with his friend Jim until Covid hit.
