He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Johnson; and his sister Doris I. Johnson-Woods. He is survived by: his children, Earnest E. Johnson, Chiquita R. Johnson, Kaylee D. Johnson, Pattreece L. Johnson-Porter and David J. Johnson; and his brother Byron Miles. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
