He is survived by: his children, Candis Stephens, Jacob Baxter of Fowler, Joseph Baxter of Fowler, Jason Baxter of Pueblo, Jared Baxter of Pueblo, Cody Hankla of Pueblo and Brianna Hankla of Pueblo; his grandchildren, Kela Stephens, Joseph Baxter, Daniel Baxer, Susie Baxter, Penelope Baxter, Harper Baxter, Jack Baxter, JT Baxter, Lili Baxter, Leo Baxter, Luke Baxter, Ave Wear and Lindsey Hankla; his great grandchild Hank Baxter; his siblings, Wilma Metzger (Domingo Ruiz) of Pritchett, Douglas Metzger of Avondale and Anthony Metzger of Rocky Ford; and his niece Melinda Metzger (Melissa Metzger) of Boone.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Solid Rock Baptist Church (705 W Pitkin Ave, Fowler, CO 81039).
