He was predeceased by: his daughter Vanessa Jean Hurlbert; his grandson Jacob Ryan Hurlbert; his parents, Luz Vasquez Perez and Lorenzo Perez; and his siblings, Martin Perez, Esperanza Garzoria, Hilaria Rocha, Rosario Solis, Elida Perez and Antonia Rangel.
He is survived by: his wife Angie Perez; his children, Edward Perez, Sheila Gaddie and Mark Perez; his grandsons, Ian Michael Perez and Brian Perez; and his sister Mary Lopez Hector. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation - Southeast Denver/Aurora (11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Fort Logan Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236).
