Horacio touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardino Martinez and Amada Martinez; his children, Shawna Martinez and Gregory Thomas Valdez; his grandchildren, Amber Pacino, Timothy and Elijah; and his siblings, Max Martinez, Alfred "Benny" Martinez, Louie Martinez, Josephine "Joann" Gonzales, Yolanda Aguilar, Dolores Aragon, Lucille Martinez and Ysabel "Bella" Vigil.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Martinez. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horber Funeral Chapel (404 Locust Ave, Las Animas, CO 81054). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fort Lyon National Cemetery (15700 Co Rd HH, Las Animas, CO 81054).
