Though Dennis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dennis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Goodman Nielsen and Mary Louise Nielsen; his brother Leonard Gary Nielsen; and his son Adam Christian Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Ann Nielsen "Jody"; his children, Greg (Courtney), Jon (Claudia), Jeff (Amy), Erica Hamblin (J. J.) and Spencer (Andrea); and his brother Dave Nielsen. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (910 W Ridge Rd, Littleton, CO 80120). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Littleton Cemetery (6155 S Prince St, Littleton, CO 80120).
