Though Gloria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Lopes and Marie Lopes; her sons, Mark Cantu and Lewis Chavez; and her husband Lafayette Cantu.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory "James" Cantu of Romeo, CO, Chris Chavez (Debra) of Longmont, CO and Bernadette Garcia (Jim) of Pagosa Springs, CO.. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Parish (19895 Co Rd 8, Capulin, CO 81124). A rosary will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Capulin Cemetery.
