With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nell D. Holt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Nell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Nell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jake Smith and Della Smith; her daughter Dee Brown (Charlie); her grandson Dustin Brown; her pets, Echo, Raven and Waylon Brown; her niece Judy Williams; and her husband R. E. Holt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home (1730 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the United States Air Force Academy Cemetery (2354 Fairchild Dr Suite 3A15, Air Force Academy, CO 80840).
