With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lura Jean Trumbo (Grand Junction, Colorado), who passed away on September 18, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lura may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lura touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Gillespie and George Gillespie (Mike); and her husband John Trumbo. She is survived by: her children, Daryl Trumbo, Jana Forsgren, Kevin Trumbo, Brian Trumbo and Tressa Trumbo. She is also survived by three brothers, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
