She was predeceased by : her parents, R. J. Connell and Catherine Snowden Connell; her son Robert Wayne Nichols; her brothers, Delma "Bubba" McCrary, Grady Connell and Edward Connell; and her close friends, Bill and Sylvia Chastain.
She is survived by : her husband John Clark; her children, Rene McClendon (Steve) of Ore City, TX, Allen Clark (Misty) of Longview, TX and April Clark of Silverdale, WA; her grandchildren, Amber Aguirre (Joseph) of Ft. Worth, Jessica Parrish (Cody) of Houston, Jacob Clark of Nashville, TN and Caden Clark of Fort Campbell, KY; her great grandchildren, Eric and Elena Aguirre; her brother Bob Connell (Ruby); her sisters-in-law, Edris McCrary and Barbara Connell; her close friends, Candy Johnson, Johnny, Sandy Hightower and Wanda Barrett; and also, D. W. and Becky McClendon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Colonial Gardens Cemetery.
