He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter T. Burger and Mary Alice Burger (Gregory); and his brother Chuck Burger. He is survived by: his wife Dianne M. Dinwiddie of Indianapolis; his children, Bob Burger (Stacy) of Indianapolis, Heidi Yamada (Roger) of Aurora, CO and Wendy Piasentin (Jerry) of Livonia, MI.; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Morris (Josh), Ruth Elliott (Zach), Sarah Schmidt (Kyle), Mariah Hertzler (Isaac), Hannah Elliott (Stefon), Benjamin, Verla, John Burger, Michael Yamada, Chad Yamada, Alyssa Yamada, Rebecca Weeks (Jordan) and Maria Piasentin; his great grandchildren, Maddyline Silva, Evangeline Elliott, Charlotte Schmidt, Steven Elliott, Angie Morris, Theodore Schmidt and Obadiah Elliott; and his siblings, Bill Burger and Marge Burger.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
