He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bergman and Theresa Bergman (Zappia); and his siblings, Joseph Bergman and Judy Bergman. He is survived by: his wife Diana Bergman; his children, Anthony Bergman (Kristen), Ryan Bergman (Francesca) and Brooke Bergman; his grandchildren, Arianna Bergman, Devon Bergman, Darian Bergman, Braydon Bergman, Nevaeh Bergman and Brevin Bergman; his great grandchildren, Ellianna Rutledge and Nayomi Bergman; and his siblings, Becky McDonald, Nancy Harvey (Larry), Jenny Hendricks (Dale) and Kevin Bergman (Jennifer).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Roch Catholic Church (3600 Pennsylvania St, Indianapolis, IN 46227).
Being the kind, compassionate and giving man he was, the last legacy he left behind was the donation of his corneas, allowing someone else to see the world through his eyes. Memorial contributions may be made to the GIST Cancer Research Fund (gistinfo.org), or the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
