He is survived by: his wife Leona Sell; his children, Steven Elbert (MaryLou Montgomery Elbert), Cindy Farren (Je? Farren), Nancy Elbert (John Mischik) and Cara Roetken; his brother James Elbert (JoAnn); his siblings-in-law, Patty Elbert and Robert Sell; his grandchildren, Erin Kilgore (Ryan), Chelsea Retz (Josh), Jamen Elbert (Michelle), Adelaide Downham, Britney Pingatore (Frank), Rhyse Elbert (Kristin), Colin Roetken (Meredith), Danyel Holder (Jake), Parker Roetken, Marshall Farren (Maddie), Clayton Farren, Garrett Toombs, Regan Roetken, Cameron Farren, Kellyn Toombs and Brooklin Toombs; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Claire, Ruby, Thomas, Amelia, Jayce, Hadley, Leah, Wells, Cecilia and Jamie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the South Newton High School (13102 S 50 E, Kentland, IN 47951). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The Chris Center, PO Box 500, Carmel, IN 46032, which is a non-profit in honor of Chris Elbert to support the mental health of young adults.
