He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor S. Widelski and Blanche Widelski (Cyr); his wife Marilyn "Sue" Nix; and his brothers, Donald Widelski, Jerome Widelski, Lawrence Widelski and Victor Widelski.
He is survived by: his children, Christi McElhaney (Michael) of Huntington, IN, Jacki Rude (Jeff) of Fort Wayne, IN, Vicki Wirth (Jon) of Fishers, IN and Stephen L. Widelski (Gelyn) of Aubrey, TX; his grandchildren, Brittany Korff (Daniel), Drew McElhaney (Kaitlyn), Courtney Wesco (Collin), Lindsey Newsome (Lucas), Jacob Rude, Mitchell McElhaney (Julia), Maxwell Wirth, Graham Scher, Madeline Wirth, Zachary Rude, Malori Rude and Isaac Rude; his great grandchild Warner Wesco; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Widelski of Benton, KY, Annette "Muggs" Widelski and Joyce Widelski of Richmond, TX..
A rosary will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the McElhaney Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (903 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (500 N, Huntington, IN 46750).
