She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold McKinsey and Helen McKinsey; and her pet Suki. She is survived by: her former husband Gary Vierk of Lafayette, IN; her daughters, Pamela Gentry (Randy) and Kristina O'Neil (Joel); her stepchildren, Brent Irwin (Timotea) and Betsy Anes (Casey); her grandchildren, Austin Gentry, Aaron Gentry, Abbie Gentry, McKinsey O'Neil, Justus O'Neil (Caylie), Addison O'Neil, Cooper O'Neil, Brianna Batts, Tyler Batts (Alyssa), Erik King, Nikolas Camper and Sarah Irwin; her great grandchildren, Aiden and Macy Batts; and her cousin Debi Nackenhorst.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Homes - Madison (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to nonprofit Morning Light's Abbie Hunt Bryce Home, where Dixie spent her final months.
