We bid farewell to Mary Ruth Strain of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 96. Mary Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Reeves and Elizabeth W. Reeves (Goetcheus); her husband Arthur D. Strain; her son Duane Strain; her daughter-in-law Cathy Strain; her grandson Jedidiah Strain; and her sisters, Kathryn Baumbaugh, Martha Cassiday and Dorcas Canary.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Bentle (Greg) and David Strain (Danna). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Garfield Christian Church (1751 Walker Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Center Christian Church Cemetery (Knightstown, IN 46148).
