With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis A. Bolander of Attica, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on May 1, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Louis A. Bolander to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Silver and Mildred Jessie Bolander (Zimmer); his sister Carolyn Cecelia Jenkins (Bolander); his great grandchild Eric Lee Carlson; and his son-in-law Steve Moldthan.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian "Dody" Smith; his children, Brenda A. Moldthan of Lady Lake, FL, Linda L. Avery (Andrew) of The Villages, FL, Frederick M. Bolander (Linda) of Lafayette, IN, Nina M. Kmetz (Michael) of Maineville, OH, Rena A. Schleter (Robert) of Francisco, IN and Louis (Bolander II); and also Burdette George Bolander. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (407 S Perry St, Attica, IN 47918). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at the St. Mary Cemetery (2122 Old Romney Rd, Lafayette, IN 47909).
