We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2025, at the age of 90, Alfred Joseph Zetzl of Speedway, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zetzl and Marie Zetzl (Scheckelreiter); his daughters, Mary Helen Valentine (Paul) and Donna Zetzl; his wife Ruth H. Sitzman; and his brothers, John and Bob.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Ann Shilson (Tim), Kathy Stults (Yancy) and David Zetzl; his grandchildren, Dominic Valentine (Sarah), Clara Fox (John), Chris Shilson (Cierra), Ben Shilson (Sarah), Patrick Shilson, Yancy Stults, Jr., Nathan Stults (Lindsay), Alyssa Delph (Tyler), Bradley Nelson (Crystal) and Alex Nelson; and his sister-in-law Janet Zetzl.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Stevens Mortuary (5520 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (5301 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (435 W Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225).
