He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Hartell and Bessie L. Hartell (Collard); his wife Lorri Hartell; his children, Karen Hartell and Ronnie Hartell; and his stepson Tommy Butcher.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Hartell, Bill Hartell and Mary Hartell; and his stepdaughter Robyn Walters (Doug). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
