He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lechner and Bernadette Lechner (Baunach); and his siblings, George J. Lechner and Patricia A. Blessinger. He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Lechner of Jasper, IN; his sons, Kurt A. Lechner (Jenny) of Jasper, IN and Mark J. Lechner (Sherri) of Fishers, IN; his grandsons, Drake, Spencer and Bodie Lechner of Jasper; his nephew Jeffrey C. Lechner; his nieces, Regina Osborn (Blessinger) and Lisa Robertson (Lechner); and his in-laws, Lee Boehm (Kathy) of Jasper, IN., Juanita Boehm of Jasper, IN., Don "Yog" Boehm (Linda) of Jasper, IN., Beth Waltz (Chris) of Jasper, IN. and Becky Boehm of Jasper, IN.. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1029 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546). An entombment will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (1020 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
