He is survived by: his children, Jesse Cruz (Jessica), Michael Cruz (Paola), Stephanie Ornelas (Saul Avila) and Bonita Ornelas; his grandchildren, Elijah Cruz, Max Cruz, Amelia Cruz, Araceli Ornelas, Zitlali Avila, Aliyah White, Zachary Cruz and Jonathan Cruz; and his mother Herminia Cepeda.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the 87th Street & Harlem Avenue Evergreen Park (W 87th St, Illinois).
