He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue O'Dell; his children, Michael Messer (Caroline Smith) of Rushville, Rebecca Garner (Johnny) of Rushville and Daniel Messer (Tiffani Hermann) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Zackari Messer (Christin), Mikala Messer, Samantha Garner, Brandon Colestock (Kaho Hosono) and Cole Messer (Niesa); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Kiwatt, Brody Dowden, Jase and Xzander Messer; his brother Randall Messer (Nancy) of Rush County; and his brothers-in-law, David O'Dell (Liz) of Rushville and Ric Morgan of Shelbyville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church (631 N Harrison St, Rushville, IN 46173-1528). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church (631 N Harrison St, Rushville, IN 46173-1528).
