The passing of Gertrude McAtee (Indianapolis, Indiana), born in Hastings, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard "Jack" Ryan and Margaret Coen Ryan; her siblings, Thomas Ryan, Mary Postier and Patricia Christensen; and her former husband James McAtee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Britton (Don) and Barb McAtee; her granddaughter Emily McMahon; and her great grandchild Hannah McMahon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakley Hammond Mortuary (5342 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46219). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Little Flower Catholic Church (4720 E 13th St, Indianapolis, IN 46201).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mac to the Alzheimer's Association or Little Flower Catholic Church.
