With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolores Eicher Sawtelle of Corydon, Indiana, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Eicher and Clara Romecki Eicher; her husband Edward S. Sawtelle; her brother Gerald Eicher; and her brother-in-law Neil Mays.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Thorpe of Corydon, Indiana, Stephen (Diane) of Olathe, Kansas, Thomas (Renee) of Penrose, Colorado, Robert (Missi) of Corydon and Edward (Chris) of Terre Haute, Indiana. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren; sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict's Catholic Church (111 S 9th St, Terre Haute, IN 47807). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (111 S 9th St, Terre Haute, IN 47807).
