With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Franklin Hawkins of Sellersburg, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hawkins and Fannie Hawkins (Leake); his wife Emma Hawkins (Cloyd); and his siblings, Thomas Hawkins, Mary Stivers of Victoria Hawkins, B. M, Ella Bennette, Daphne Edwards, Myra Smoot and Lindsey Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Roy "Mike" Hawkins (Karen), Deborah Wilkerson (Jerry), Sandy Carter (Bob) and Clinton Hawkins; his sister Sara Stevens; his grandchildren, Lyric, Justin (Carolyn), Jenny, Shavonne, James, Misty (Justin), Melony (Chris), Nathaniel (Candis), Lindsey, Butler (Natalie), Mallory (Ryan) and Riley (Lydia); his great grandchildren, Carma, Devonny, Jeremiah, Malachi, Rowan, Jonah, Zoey, Trenton, Amontae, Xavier, Brooklyn, Kyle and Tamia; and his great great grandchildren, Graham and Miles.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
