She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Fischer and Lena Fischer (Vaal); her former husband Charles H. Gehlhausen; her husband Oscar L. "Big O" Pfeiffer; her siblings, Pat Albert, Henry Fischer (Shirley) and Leonard Fischer; and her brother-in-law David Ziliak.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Boham (Daniel) of Littleton, NC, Gina Reece of Winston Salem, NC, Dr. Terry Gehlhausen (Nancy) of Oakland City, IN, Tim Gehlhausen (Kristy) of Newburgh, IN, Lonny Gehlhausen (Kim) of Evansville, IN, Kurt Gehlhausen (Serena) of Newburgh, IN and Chris Gehlhausen (Denise) of Hutto, TX; her siblings, Mary Ziliack of Ferdinand, IN, Carol Harpenau (Ted) of Indianapolis, IN, Kenneth Fischer (Sarah) of Ferdinand, IN and Stanley Fischer (Patty) of Ferdinand, IN; and her sister-in-law Clara Mae Fischer of St. Anthony, IN. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. A prayer will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Boone Funeral Home (5330 Washington Ave, Evansville, IN 47715). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1301 S Green River Rd, Evansville, IN 47715).
