He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Collins and Margaret Collins (Dunn); and his siblings, David and Veronica. He is survived by: his wife Carol Collins; his children, Rory Collins (Maura Malloy) of Indianapolis, IN, Ryan Collins of Fort Wayne, IN, Devin Collins (Megan) of Bristol, IN and Darin Collins (Jenna) of Kingsland, GA; his grandchildren, Makenah, Asher, Ricky, Landon, Brennon, Jonah, Carolyn, Madison and Anna Mae; and his siblings, Mary Jane, Jim, Paula, Kathy, Connie, Sharon, Sheila and Rosemary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home - River Park (2528 E Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (4508 Vistula Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46544).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in John's name to Disabled American Veterans.
