It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Kyle Messerschmidt of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 34, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Leroy Messerschmidt and Ed Bruce. He is survived by: his parents, John and Deb; his wife Caitlin Lischer; his grandmother Ruth Messerschmidt; his siblings, Chris Messerschmidt and Cassandra Sinha (Akshay); his nephews, Jonathan (Mikayla), Logan, Jai and Luca; his great-nephew Wyatt; and his father-in-law Eric Lischer. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A rosary will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Meyers Funeral Home (1150 IN-46, Batesville, IN 47006). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (4773 Church Rd, Morris, IN 47033).
