In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Wanda had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Wanda may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Carpenter and Carolyn Carpenter; her husband Stanley; and her brother Bob Carpenter. She is survived by: her daughter Heather Stanley of Marion Indiana; her stepson Patrick Murphy (Ami) of Pensacola, Florida; and her siblings, Teri Carpenter (Pam) of Carmel, Indiana and Richard of Lafayette, Indiana.. She is also survived by Four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the John Knox Presbyterian Church (3000 N High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Council of the Blind.
