With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard M. Turnak of Portage, Indiana, who passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Richard's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Richard has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Turnak and Mary Turnak; his wife Andrea Turnak; and his brother George Turnak. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Mark Turnak (Leanne) of Hingham, MA and Dr. Danielle Turnak (Joe Gangstad) of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Julia Turnak, Luke Turnak, Caroline Turnak, Andrew Gangstad and Katrina Gangstad; and his brother John Turnak (Linda). He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Nativity of Our Savior Church (2949 Willowcreek Rd, Portage, IN 46368). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
