He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Russell and Jessie Russell (Wilson); and his siblings, Stuart Russell, Allen Russell, Barney Russell and June Mendenhall.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Russell (Wood); his children, Bob (Cindy), Russell (Cloverdale), Robin (Phil) and Paul (Indianapolis); his grandchildren, Cory Russell (Shelby), Caitlin Downing (Thomas), Shelbi McConnell (Garrett) and PJ Paul (Mary); his great grandchildren, Stoshu, Gabriel, Elliott, Kain, Marek, Melody, Niko, Griffin and Emerson; his sister Kathy South (Cloverdale); and his grandson Caleb Grunlock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery (6526 S County Rd 550 E, Greencastle, IN 46135). A reception will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Providence Baptist Church (6526 S County Rd 550 E, Greencastle, IN 46135).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the New Providence Baptist Church food pantry ministry.
