He is survived by: his children, Katrina L. Bassett of New Castle, IN, India T. Bassett of Indianapolis, IN, Fredrick W. Bassett Jr. of Indianapolis, IN and William T. Bassett of New Castle, IN; his former wife Lou Helen Bassett Smith of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Shurnella Bassett, Shameika Bassett, Sedrick Bassett, Latrina Ray, Tamya Ray and Dasja Bassett; his great grandchildren, Marqis Bassett, Aaliyah Bassett, Lareico Bassett, Persephanie Bassett, Zamorah Bassett, Latrius Bassett, Amani Cooke and Quadir Cooke; his siblings, Retta Wearren, Charlestine Wells, Mitzie Bassett, Jennifer Cottman and Jeffery Bassett (Cherie); and his close friends, Penny Stockton and Johnny Braswell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethany Tabernacle Church (402 S 18th St, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
