With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gordon Dean Ayer of Avon, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gordon has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Ayer; his children, Tom Ayer, Tammy Ayer and Teresa Ayer; and his brother Keith (Don Ayer).
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (5301 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224).
