He was predeceased by: his parents, Addison Wilson and Christina Wilson (Barnhart); his wife Joan; his son Richard; his stepmother Mildred Wilson (Dickerson); and his grandchildren, Angela, Richard Jr., Geoffrey and James.
He is survived by: his children, George Wilson, Jr. (Sandy), Michael Wilson (Gail), Stephen Wilson (Hershey), Christina Dodds (Michael), David Wilson (Vicki), Patricia McMenamin (Jim) and Julie Covert (Rob); and his sister Helen Utterback. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
