It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph King Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. King and Elsa King (Miller); his wife Evelyn King (Mueller); his sons, Patrick King and David King; and his siblings, Terry King, Rosemary King, Nora Petraits and Michael King.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Totton (Greg), Mary Todd (Charley), Karen King, Anne King, Maureen King (Steve Stewart), Dolores Record (Tony), Monica Gilbrech and Daniel King (Sheila May); his grandchildren, Bridget, Emily, Theresa, Megan, Jonathan, Rebecca, Eric, Gunnar, Jackson, Kaila, Braeden, Makayla, Julia, Libby and Audrey; his great grandchildren, Elliot, Evelyn, Caidan, Theodore, Rylan, Raylee, Allison and Jordan; his sister Sharon Cooper (Derald); his daughter-in-law Caroline King; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Petraits and Charlene King. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (5301 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224).
