He was predeceased by: his son Brandon Neal Chapa; and his siblings, Minerva, Cesar, Sulema and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Rubalcava; his children, Homer "Paul" Chapa (Libby Collazo) and Margaret Chapa; his grandson Alejandro Jose Rodriguez; his stepsons, Victor, Peter and Joey; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" and Cynthia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312).
