He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mitchell and Juanita Rhodes; his wife Willia L. Mitchell; and his brothers, Marvin Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, LaVon Mitchell, Stacia Mitchell and Harold Mitchell, Jr.; his sisters, Linda Pendleton, Brenda Outlaw and Sondra Boyd; and his grandchildren, Corbin, Danielle, Christian Cole, Carley, Caylee, Cameron, Corryn, Brianna and Caliyah. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel (626 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
