We bid farewell to Kenneth E. Schmid Sr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Kenneth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schmid and Helen Schmid; and his uncle Edward. He is survived by: his wife June Schmid (Hall); his children, Cindy Wagner (Tim) and Ken Jr. (Cathy Driscoll Schmid); his grandchildren, Ashton Wagner (Susan), Cameron Schmid, Madison Schmid and Matthew Wagner (Delaine); his sisters, Sharon Brant, Carol Sue Koonce (Donn) and Betty Cooney; and his brother-in-law Don Hall (Diane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crown Hill Funeral Home (700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Riley Children's Hospital - a reflection of Ken's lifelong commitment to helping others.
