He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Baar and Angela M. Baar; and his siblings, Romona Dunnuck (Dave), Juli Drake, Mark Baar and Dennis Baar.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Coop Baar; his son Ryan Johnson (Renea); his grandson Evan Johnson; and his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Trickle, Joan "Joey" Reese, Suzanne Treadwell (Charles), Robert Baar (Cher), Christopher Baar and Daniel Baar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the American Lung Association.
