She was predeceased by: her children, James Mangus and Verna Smith; and her parents, Perry Beavers and Clara Beavers. She is survived by: her children, Velta King (Charles) and Robert Smith (Shannon); her grandchildren, Jason Smith, Anthony Mangus (Jessica), Jessica Moore (Anthony) and Emily Morehouse (Ben); her son Michael Thomas; and her daughter-in-law Evelyn Mangus. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel (76 N Avon Ave, Avon, IN 46123). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
