He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Schenkel and Patricia Schenkel. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Chris Schenkel (Lauren Schindler), Ashley Schenkel (Jake Brier), Chad Schenkel (Katie) and Jason Schenkel (Alexsus); his grandchildren, Harper, Brody, Aiden, Audrey, Ellie, Archie and Rory; and his siblings, Bob Schenkel (Lea), Linda Schenkel, David Schenkel (Laura), Doug Schenkel (Marilyn) and Cathy Schenkel.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, June 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel) (9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
