He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Klatt and Helen Klatt (Gafkowski); his wife Betsy Klatt; and his son Dr. Paul Klatt. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Vetter, John Klatt and Dr. Mary Fischer (Frank Flores); his grandchildren, Kate Watson (Michael), Erin Kennedy and Hattie Fischer; and his great grandchild Alice Katherine Watson.
A rosary will be held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
Memorials may be made in Richard's honor to Friendship Manor or St Pius X Catholic Church.
