He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Brendler and Kathryn Brendler (Trainor); his wife Amy Voges of Alzheimer's Association; and his brothers, Eugene, Chuck and Louis Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Howard (Bob) and John Jr. Brendler (Tina); his grandchildren, Tyler Brendler (Kyleigh), John Howard (Briana), Christi Mason (Corey) and Joshua Brendler (Noel); his great grandchildren, Everlee, Bo, Reece, Jack, Madison, Lilli, Christien and Baby B.; and his siblings-in-law, Dan Voges and Maribeth Stone (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
