It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard John Mankowski of Portage, Wisconsin, born in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Ski; his wife Janet Mankowski (Gilsdorf); his sons, Jonathan (Amber) and Jerimiah Mankowski; his grandchildren, Bryce McConnell, Lauren, Michael and Marleigh Mankowski; his brothers, Raymond Mankowski (Denise), Randy and Kevin Mankowski (Michelle); and his parents, Lana Nell (Bob) and Jim. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home (430 W Wisconsin St, Portage, WI 53901). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (401 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI 53716).
