We bid farewell to Paul Eldor Schmidt of Algoma, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Paul touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Elsie Ida Schmidt (Erdmann); his stepmother Eldor Schmidt (Gertrude); his brother Carl; his parents-in-law, Earl and Letitia Larsen; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Hood, Wesley Otto and Orville Otto.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Laurene Larsen of Denmark; his children, Timothy Schmidt (Kelly), Phillip Schmidt (Jenny), Patricia Schmidt and Peter Schmidt (Devin); his grandchildren, Taylor Bredael-Schmidt (Brooke), Tori Jorgensen (Jordan), Matthew Schmidt (Courtney), Andrew "Hammer" Schmidt (Cassie), Zachary Schmidt, Breanne Schmidt, Bristol Schmidt and Pierce Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Bowie, Hadley, Braxten, Jay and Winny; his brother Wayne Schmidt (Karen); his cousin Joyce Sibilsky Wians; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Hood, Joann Otto, Joy Otto, Jon Larsen (Kathy), James Larsen (Nancy), Jerelyn Bougie (Ralph) and Joel Larsen (Laura). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:50 PM, at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (E5221 Church Rd, Algoma, WI 54201).
Memorials may be given in Paul's name for St. John's Lutheran Church (E5221 Church Road, Algoma, WI 54201) or the Algoma Fire/Rescue Association.
