It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Howard Peterson (Eau Claire, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Daniel Howard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Louise (Chapman) and Elliot Newman Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Wava Peterson; his daughters, Judith Peterson, Susan Polden (Robert) and Diane Peterson; his sister Dorothy Schwankl (Richard); and his granddaughter Courtney Beavers (Brandon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Chapel (2222 London Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Eau Claire Wesleyan Church, 2405 Keith Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 54701, where Dan was a life-long member.
