With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher Murray Vernon (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Christopher find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Thomas Vernon and Ruth Bond Vernon; his significant other Melinda Risius; his children, Jennifer Vernon of Madison, WI and Daniel Vernon (Michelle) of Asheville, NC.; his grandchildren, Caroline Rasmusen, Ian Vernon and Ivy Vernon; and his great grandchild David.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Unitarian Society (1342 N Astor St, Milwaukee, WI 53202).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Nature Conservancy, the Interchange Food Pantry, or a charity of your choice will be gratefully accepted.
