We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2025, at the age of 70, Scott Vlies of Algoma, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford A. Vlies and Juanita R. Vlies (Culp); his brother Robert "Bob" Vlies; his grandparents, Fred, Lucy Vlies, Walter and Lodean Culp; his parents-in-law, Victor and Ione Starr; and his nephew Christopher Cmeyla.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Starr of Paul's Church; his children, Jamie Schmiling (Aric), Robin (Jason Muench) and Terri Vlies; his grandchildren, Karina, Ava Schmiling and Indra Roel; his siblings, Kendall Vlies (Kris), Vicki Vlies and Jane Van Laanen (Scott); his sister-in-law Lynn Vlies; and his in-laws, Diane Cmeyla (John), Dale Starr (Susie) and Dean Starr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calendar Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1414 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, WI 54303). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Green Bay Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1414 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, WI 54303).
In lieu of flowers memorial funds will be established in Scott's name.
