It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen R. Wedig of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Wedig and Mary Anne Wedig (Hoppenjan); her siblings, Elizabeth Smith, Mary Schultz (Les), Geraldine McCarville (Ken), William Wedig (Jan), Keith Wedig (Dorothy Mae), Arthur Wedig (Betty) and James Wedig; and her brother-in-law Don Westberg.
She is survived by: her sisters, Yvonne "Bonnie" Wedig of Madison, WI and Louise Westberg of Madison, WI; and her brother-in-law Bill Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (519 W Roosevelt St, Cuba City, WI 53807). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (26203 St Peters Rd, Cuba City, WI 53807).
